Where we’ve played

Venues

A selection rather than a full list. If your venue isn’t here it makes no difference to the booking — we bring our own PA, monitoring and lighting, and we’ll ask the venue the handful of questions that actually matter: ceiling height, stage size, power, access and the sound limit.

United Kingdom

Home Counties and beyond

Furtho Manor Farm

Old Stratford, Northamptonshire

A barn wedding venue a few minutes from Milton Keynes. We played James and Katy’s wedding here in July 2024, and Francis is on Furtho’s wedding supplier list.

South Farm

Shingay-cum-Wendy, Cambridgeshire

We played Sarah and John’s wedding in the Horse Barn in September 2025. A venue that runs a tight ship on supplier paperwork — public liability and PAT certificates in advance, load-in and sound-check times set to the minute.

Mead Open Farm

Billington, Leighton Buzzard

Thirteen nights across October 2026 for The Howl, the farm’s Halloween event — a long run rather than a one-off, and a useful test of playing the same room to a different crowd every night.

MK11

Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes

Our home room. Alex is a resident here, and it’s where Request Night Live runs — a night built entirely around audience requests, which is where a lot of the repertoire gets stress-tested.

Further afield

Overseas

Cape Town

South Africa

Flown out for a destination wedding. The logistics — freight, backline hire, local sound — are handled as part of the booking rather than left with the couple.

Circus Bar, Ios

Cyclades, Greece

A summer residency in 2026. Island venues mean no backline of your own and whatever the room provides, which is good practice for working with what’s in front of you.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Yas Island, UAE

Performed at the 2019 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, on a bill that also featured Sam Smith and Guns N’ Roses.

Waldorf Astoria & Lock Stock and Barrel

Dubai, UAE

Three years of Dubai residencies during Alex’s time based there — resident musician at the Waldorf Astoria, and lead guitarist at Lock Stock and Barrel, where the band won TimeOut Dubai’s Best Bar Band award in 2019.

The Dubai residencies and the Grand Prix predate the current Francis line-up — they are Alex’s work from the years he was based in the UAE. We’ve listed them because they are where most of the repertoire and most of the habits came from, not to suggest the four-piece was on stage.

Run a venue?

We’re happy to go on a supplier list, send over public liability and PAT documentation, or come and play a showcase. Insurance and certificates are current and available on request.
